The guest are scrambling to get out of the hotel but an unlucky group end up trapped inside, moving up higher and higher in an attempt to escape the ants, but the ants are moving up, too. "Tarantulas: The Deadly Cargo" - Nominated for two Emmy Awards, "Tarantulas" is a white-knuckle thrill-ride, full of fearsome furry arachnids and hair-raising horror. Fred (Howard Hesseman) and Buddy (Tom Atkins) fly down to South America to puck up a cargo of premium coffee beans, which they plan to turn into a huge profit back home in San Francisco. But unbeknownst to the two men, their plane is carrying some deadly stowaways in the form of a colony of deadly, gigantic tarantulas. Flying over a small California town, the pilot is attacked and killed by the tarantulas and the plane goes down in a fiery crash. The tarantulas flee the crash site unnoticed and begin to reek havoc on the townspeople. Creepy, hairy spiders are taking over, and they have infested the town's orange plantation. Risking their lives to stave off a national epidemic, a group of renegade townspeople desperately attempt to stop the venomous vermin before it's too late.
